Chris Fitzgerald

Christopher H. Fitzgerald serves as of counsel to Rickner PLLC and has practiced for over 12 years in New York City and northern New Jersey, focusing on police misconduct and prisoner abuse cases. 

His past experiences as a civil rights practitioner include appearing as counsel for amicus curiae on the landmark Stop-and-Frisk class action, David Floyd v. City of New York, and as class counsel on Dunn v. City of New York, a putative class action stemming from the ongoing humanitarian crisis on New York City’s notorious Rikers Island jail. 

Chris is a member of National Lawyer’s Guild’s BLM Protest Litigation Task Force; the National Police Accountability Project; the Civil Rights Committee of the American Association for Justice; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; the New Jersey Association for Justice; and the New York County Lawyers Association. 

Chris is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey state courts, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, the Northern District of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of Boston College (B.A.) and CUNY School of Law (J.D.).
